Finalists in NASA “SUITS Up” Next Generation Astronaut Challenge Hopes to Foster Lunar Exploration.

SERC has benefited over the last two years from the USC undergraduate research program, CURVE.

SERC along with the Department of Astronautical Engineering is proud to be part of USC’s ecosystem to support the US Space Force in their University Partnership Program kickoff!

USC and SERC’s 3rd Satellite was launched today aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, on the Transporter-3 mission.  Hosted inside the rocket on D-Orbit’s ION SCV-004, the satellite will be released separately to perform its mission.

A team from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign won the summer 2021 LEAPFROG Software challenge.  Professor Melkior Ornik’s graduate students Hamza El-Kebir served as the team’s student lead and Pranay Thangeda was the navigation lead.  Congratulations to this outstanding team!   (https://aerospace.illinois.edu/news/41550).   USC SERC along with UCSD and UC-Berkeley hosted the challenge as part of the Artemis…
