Genevieve Bartlett is a Senior Computer Scientist, Research Lead, at the Information Sciences Institute of the University of Southern California (USC). She received her Bachelor of Science degree from University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and her Master’s and Ph.D. from University of Southern California in computer science. Her research focuses on network traffic analysis, network reconnaissance, social engineering attacks and combination defense approaches drawing from both language and meta-data cues that span the stack.
Dr. Bartlett's research interests include networking, cybersecurity, and social engineering with an emphasis on combing meta-data signals with language cues in defending networks and communications. Her secondary focus is in applying signal processing techniques to monitoring networks and log data to identify anomalous behavior.
