As RF sensing systems continue to evolve, advances in microelectronics are essential to improving sensor performance and enabling new capabilities. In this talk, Dr. Kelson Chabak will share a high-level perspective on AFRL’s research priorities in advanced microelectronics for next-generation RF sensors. He will highlight developments in wide and ultrawide bandgap devices, heterogeneous integration, and modular design, and discuss the challenges of translating device-level advances into practical sensor systems. The talk will explore how research, system design, and manufacturing can come together to move promising technologies from the laboratory to real-world applications.
