A Cross-Sectional Speleothem Study of Linkages between Growth Rates, Oxygen Isotopes, and Insolation
Abstract
The development of paleoclimate data standards and community-curated compilations, together with open-source code built around these standards [1] is now making it possible to conduct more complex large-scale analyses of paleoclimate records. In this work we leverage these tools to target two key questions:(A) What is the relationship between speleothem growth rate and climate?(B) On orbital timescales, how does speleothem δ18O relate to insolation?
