Accelerating Materials Discovery to Processing Pathways for Mid-Infrared Photonics

Event Details

Complex oxides and chalcogenides are emerging as novel materials with unique functionalities for mid-infrared photonics. In this talk, I will outline some of the recent work from my group spanning materials discovery (large optical anisotropy in quasi-1D hexagonal complex chalcogenides) to processing (laser ablation for high quality thin films of complex oxides and chalcogenides) for mid-infrared photonics.
