Of late several studies have linked DILI severity with underlying NASH as both the disorders has been linked with mitochondrial dysfunction. Objective of the study was to whether metabolic syndrome is an independent predictive factor for severity and mortality in drug induced liver injury. Secondary objective was to identify other factors influencing outcome. Method: Severe DILI was defined as either INR> 1.5 or Ascites or hepatic encephalopathy or other organ failure.
