Abstract

An early typographical error when reporting the mean age of melanoma cases within the MEC study was perpetuated to calculations of the overall age of cases across studies. In the published Letter, this error is located in Supplementary Table S1 online, which reports the demographic characteristics of the study populations used. No other results were affected by this error. The correct values for mean (SD) of age are: 67 (9.5) for MEC cases; and 65 (11.0) for total cases.
